Some 26 years old, the ASICS GEL-Nimbus was in its 10th iteration when it released in 2008—looking vastly different to the modern version. The swooping metallic panels, asymetrical toebox and lashings of technical mesh all scream early-2000s and we love the fact ASICS has brought this model back.

Compared with the OG version, there's a twist. For the first time this GEL-Nimbus is graced with the big-dog Kayano sole unit—taken off the GEL-Kayano 14 in this case. Whilst looking similar to the Nimbus 10's original tooling, the Kayano midsole adds extra GEL for max cushioning.

The uppers stay true to the original, with plenty of mesh and metallic creating a shoe that somehow looks better than it did when it released. They say hindsight is 20/20 and thankfully we get a chance to revisit these.
